The Joint Symposium on China-ASEAN AI Cooperation, co-hosted by China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, was held in Singapore from December 10 to 11. Mr. Gou Haibo, Vice President of CIIS, led the Chinese delegation to the event. Representatives and experts from Chinese Foreign Ministry, CIIS, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT/CC), Alibaba Research Institute and etc held in-depth talks with representatives and experts from government agencies and think tanks of ASEAN countries during the two days. The discussions evolved around a range of topics including fair, non-bias and accountable AI, cross-border data flow and privacy protection, AI and job displacement as well as China-ASEAN AI cooperation.
