CIIS co-hosts a webinar on "Multilateralism and a Shared Global Future: Views from China"

  On December 16, CIIS, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brazil and Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) jointly held a webinar on “Multilateralism and a Shared Global Future: Views from China”. Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming and Brazilian Ambassador to China Paulo Estivallet addressed the opening ceremony. CEBRI President José Pio Borges and Brazil’s former Ambassador to China Marcos Caramuru presided over the webinar. CIIS President Xu Bu, Vice President Liu Qing, Director of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Studies Song Junying, Secretary for Multilateral Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Paulino Franco de Carvalho Neto attended the webinar and delivered speeches. The webinar was broadcast live on CEBRI’s YouTube channel. 

  The participants carried out in-depth discussions on the understanding of multilateralism, building a human community with a shared future, new type of international relations, China-Brazil bilateral cooperation and so on. All participants hold that China and Brazil should further enhance mutual trust and bilateral cooperation to make new contributions to improving global public health governance, promoting steady growth of the world economy as well as advancing peace and development of mankind.
