  China’s proposal to build a 21st Century Maritime Silk Road is aimed at exploring the unique values and concepts of the ancient road, enriching it with new meaning for the present era and actively developing economic partnerships with countries situated along the route. Specifically, the proposal seeks to further integrate current cooperation in order to achieve positive effects.

  Central and Eastern Europe links the European and Asian markets and helps promote cooperation between the EU and China. The author explores the feasibility and pathway choice of CEE countries’ involvement in the construction of the Silk Road economic belt, the role CEE countries would play in it and the challenges they would confront. The author concludes by putting forth some policy recommendations.

  China and Brazil established a strategic partnership in 1993. The bilateral ties have seen rapid development in almost all areas. However, there are eight myths surrounding the China-Brazil relations. These myths are the result of a lack of mutual understanding as well as the misconceptions of the western observers and media. These misunderstandings have jeopardized images of the China-Brazil relations and also hindered further development of their bilateral relationship.
