On July 15, the 35th CIIS-JIIA Workshop was jointly held by CIIS and the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) via video link. CIIS Vice President Liu Qing and Director General of JIIA Tomiko Ichikawa co-chaired the workshop. More than 10 scholars from CIIS, JIIA, Chinese Foreign Affairs University, Shanghai Institute for International Studies, Japan National Institute for Defense Studies, the University of Tokyo, and Keio University attended the workshop. The participants conducted in-depth discussions on topics of current situation in East Asia and China-Japan cooperation. The CIIS-JIIA Workshop has been held for 35 consecutive years since 1985.
