On July 7, the seminar on “Cooperation between Central and Eastern European Countries and China” was successfully held in CIIS. Counselor Xia Xiaoxi from Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries of Chinese MFA delivered a keynote speech, introducing the current development of the cooperation and the future work plan. Scholars from Peking University, East China Normal University, Sichuan University, Xi’an International Studies University and the representatives of 9 GPC member institutes of Chinese side conducted in-depth discussions on the situation in CEE region, the influence of external actors, and the prospects of cooperation between CEECs and China.
The scholars all agreed that since the establishment of the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism over nine years ago, the cooperation has achieved fruitful results and brought huge benefits to all countries. Focusing on the economic recovery after the pandemic, Central and Eastern European countries and China can work together in the fields of connectivity, green, agriculture, and digital to promote practical cooperation towards high-quality development.
