Ambassador SU Ge     

Dr. SU Ge is a Senior Research Fellow at CIIS.

He also takes the positions of Director of China Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Center; and Director of China Asian-African Cooperation Center;the Director of CIIS“Belt and Road” Research Center.He joined CIIS in 2000 as a Senior Research Fellow and Vice President. Before that, he was a professor and doctoral supervisor at China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University. Since 2003, he has served consecutively as Minister Counselor in Chinese Embassy in the USA, Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname and Ambassador to the Republic of Iceland.

Dr. Su received his master and doctorate degree in international relations and regional studies from Brigham Young University, USA. He was a Post-doctorate at Harvard University and Beijing Foreign Studies University. He was a Smithsonian Institution Fellow, Senior Fulbright Fellow at Georgetown University, John Hopkins University and the George Washington University.‍

 

Dr. Su is author ofAmerican China Policy and the Taiwan Issue, andInternational Situation in the New Century and Chinas Response.
