CURRICULUM VITAE

Mr. LI Guofu is a senior research fellow and Director of the Center for Middle East Studies, China Institute of International Studies (CIIS). After graduating from the English Department of Beijing Foreign Languages Institute (now known as the Beijing Foreign Studies University) in 1980, Mr. Li worked in the Division of South Asian, Middle Eastern and African Studies, CIIS. He served as Second Secretary in Chinese Embassy in Tanzania from 1989 to 1993. From 1995 to 1998, he served as Consul in Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles. Mr.Li’s research focuses on Middle East region. He enjoys special allowance from the Chinese Central Government.
