CIIS held Asian Regional Cooperation Forum and China – ASEAN cooperation seminar

On December 18, CIIS successfully held Asian Regional Cooperation Forum. More than 10 participants from International organizations such as Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, Asian Cooperation Dialogue Secretariat, and research institutions such as Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Chulalongkorn University, Singapore Institute of Southeast Asian Studies and Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies attended the Forum. The opening speech was delivered by Counselor Dong Shuhui from Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. CIIS Vice President Liu Qing attended the Forum and delivered the opening and closing remarks. The participants discussed the impact of the pandemic on Asian regional cooperation and the future trend of Asian regional cooperation organizations.
On the same day, CIIS also successfully held a seminar on China-ASEAN cooperation. Experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Peking University, China University of Foreign Affairs, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Fudan University discussed the current situation and prospects of China-ASEAN Cooperation. CIIS Vice President Liu Qing attended and moderated the meeting.
