CURRICULUM VITAE

Ms. Zhang Mei graduated from Department of International Economics of Renmin University of China in 1991. From 1991 to 1999, she work as a researcher in China Institute of International Studies which affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1999 to 2001, she served as third secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe. Since 2002, she has been working as an associate research fellow in the Division of world economy and Development of CIIS.

Ms. Zhang Mei has participated in some important projects for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other institutions. She attended Salzburg seminar on topic of the rise of industrialized Asia and its implication in 1996. She was the commentator at the Sino-US seminar co-sponsored by the Denvor University and CIIS in 2006. She paid several academic exchanges to institutions and universities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and United States.
