The Department aims to provide high quality research on the recent development of Shanghai Cooperation organization, its future prospect as well as the various challenges it faces. It follows the relationship between the member states, observer states and contacting states of SCO. The Department also conducts research on Central Asia, Transcaucasia, CIS as well as other regional organizations.
