The Workshop on Cyber Capacity Building under the Framework of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation is held in Beijing

The Workshop on Cyber Capacity Building under the Framework of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation was held in Beijing on August 30-30, 2018. The event was co-organized by China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and 360 Enterprise Security Group (360 ESG). More than 30 experts from the governmental bodies, enterprises and think tanks of Cambodia, the Lao PDR, Thailand, Vietnam, and China participated in the Workshop. Mr. Yang Yi, Secretary General of CIIS, attended the meeting. Dr. Xu Longdi presided over the opening ceremony.

The Chinese participants are from the Cyberspace Administration of China, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CNCERT/CC, CIIS, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology(CAICT), Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications,

Zhongguancun Cyberspace Affairs Industry Alliance, 360 ESG, and Tencent Holding Ltd., and BOE Technology Group Co. Ltd.

The Foreign participants are from Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace, Asian Bank, VisionFund, Laos Institute of Foreign Affairs, Thailand National Security Council, Chulalongkorn University, Vietnam CERT, and Myanmar Partner Associates Intl. Co. Ltd.

The Workshop covered such topics as the national cyber strategies and laws, critical (information) infrastructure protection, best practices on computer emergency response, and international cooperation on cyberspace governance, with a focus on bolstering the participating countries' cyber capacity and facilitating regional cyber cooperation.

Foreign experts also visited 360 ESG in Beijing and exchanged views with its cyber security experts.
