Conference on China’s Emerging Global Health and Foreign Aid Engagement Held at CIIS

On May 24, Conference on China’s Emerging Global Health and Foreign Aid Engagement, co-hosted by China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and the Center for International and Strategic Studies (CSIS), was held at CIIS. Dr. Liu Youfa, Vice President of CIIS and Mr. Charles Freeman from CSIS, co-chaired the meeting. Discussion was conducted with the aim to exchange expert views and build mutual understanding of Chinese and U.S. perspectives on critical policy issues pertaining to U.S. and Chinese global health and aid engagement in Africa, and identify opportunities and challenges for future China-U.S. collaboration. Researchers from relevant think tanks and international organizations attended the conference.
