Amb. JIN Guihua was born in Shanghai in 1935. He entered the School of Military Cadres in 1950. In 1953, Amb. Jin joined the explanation delegation of the Chinese People¡¯s Volunteer Army and went to the D.P.R.K. to work as an interpreter. In 1954, Amb. Jin graduated from the Beijing School of Foreign Languages (now known as the Beijing Foreign Studies University). After graduation, Amb. Jin joined the Foreign Service and served consecutively as Office Staff, Acting Director, Counselor, Deputy Director-General, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, and Chinese Ambassador to Thailand. Amb. Jin is the author of two books: On Diplomatic Research and Diplomatic Tactics.
