The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies Delegation Paid a Visit to China

Invited by CIIS, a delegation from the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), Colombo, Sri Lanka, paid a one-week academic visit to China from May 22nd to 28th. The delegation members include Dr. Thusitha Tennakoon, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Studies of the BCIS, Prof. Amal Jayawardane, Head of the Dept. of History & International Relations, University of Colombo, and Rajiva Wijesinha, Professor of Languages at Sabaragamuwa University. Ambassador Ma Zhengang and Prof. Amal Jayawardane, on behalf of the two institutes, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation (MoU) on May 22nd. Besides the CIIS, the delegation also visited the China Military Academy of Sciences, the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the Shanghai Institute of International Studies.
